Hausmark Kitchens is set up differently. We design it, we build a good part of it ourselves, and we install it — so the drawing, the dimensions, the materials, the budget and the installation are solved as one project instead of eight separate ones.

Hausmark Kitchens runs a working cabinet shop in St. Petersburg. That isn't a detail — it's the reason the odd corner, the seven-inch filler and the range wall that isn't square stop being problems and turn into drawings.

Specified or shop-built, it's the same design, the same crew and the same person answering the phone.

Most of our kitchens are a mix. The run along the window is a manufactured line because the sizes worked and it saved four weeks. The island, the hood and the piece that had to die into a 1926 plaster wall came off our own bench. You get one drawing, one price and one crew either way.

Discover

We visit the space, understand how you actually use your kitchen, and talk about what you want to change. Measurements, existing conditions, and the things that annoy you every day.

Design

We develop the layout, cabinetry, materials and overall direction — plan, elevations and finishes together, so you're looking at a kitchen rather than a list of products.

Specify

Cabinets, counters, fixtures, hardware and project details are selected and ordered. Lead times are confirmed here, which is what makes the schedule real instead of hopeful.

Build

Shop-built cabinetry goes into production on our own bench while the site work runs in parallel. Ordered cabinetry is tracked, received and modified here before it moves.

Install

Demolition, preparation, cabinetry and installation are coordinated by our team — including the trades — so you're not the one calling to find out who's coming Thursday.

Finish

Counters, backsplash, fixtures, appliances and final details come together. We walk the kitchen with you and close out the list before we call it done.

Designed before it's built

Dimensions, clearances, appliances, panels and details are resolved before anything goes into production — whether that production is a factory two states away or our own bench. A drawing is cheap to change. A finished cabinet is not.

One point of responsibility

You aren't stuck figuring out whether the cabinet installer, the countertop company or the contractor is responsible. That question is ours to answer, not yours.

Most kitchen companies either sell cabinets or install them. We make them too. That changes what we're willing to promise about fit — and it means a wrong part is a Tuesday in the shop, not a six-week reorder.

Local, shop and all

The office, the shop and the crew are all in St. Petersburg. Same city, same building departments, same houses, same afternoon storms — and your cabinets are made about twenty minutes from where they're going.

Hausmark Kitchens is based in St. Petersburg, Florida. The design work, the cabinet shop and the installation crew are all here, and we build kitchens throughout St. Petersburg and the nearby Gulf Coast communities.

That matters more than it sounds. The houses here are specific: 1920s bungalows with load-bearing walls in the wrong place, mid-century blocks with low soffits, waterfront homes where salt air decides the hardware, and new construction where the cabinets have to be right the first time. We work in these houses every week — and when one of them needs a cabinet that doesn't exist in any catalog, it gets made a few miles away.

Do you build your own cabinets?

Yes. We run a cabinet shop in St. Petersburg and build custom cabinetry, doors and drawer fronts, panels, hoods, shelving, islands and built-ins there. We also specify manufactured cabinet lines when that's the better answer for the plan, the budget or the schedule — and most of our kitchens end up being some of both. Either way it's one drawing, one price and one crew.

Is shop-built cabinetry more expensive than ordering?

Not automatically. A straightforward run of standard-size cabinets is usually cheaper to order. Once a kitchen needs odd sizes, angles, tall pieces, integrated panels or a finish that has to match something already in the house, building it is often the cheaper and faster route than paying a factory for custom work. We'll tell you which side of that line your kitchen falls on before you commit to anything.

Can you build just one piece?

Yes. A range hood, an island, a bank of built-ins for the living room, a laundry wall, a set of floating shelves — these are normal projects for the shop and don't require a kitchen remodel attached to them.

How much does a kitchen remodel cost?

It depends almost entirely on scope, and anyone who gives you a number before seeing the room is guessing. A cabinetry-and-countertop replacement is a very different project from a full renovation that moves walls, plumbing and electrical. We work across that whole range, and we'll give you a realistic budget range early — before you've spent money on a design that doesn't fit it.

Do you handle the entire remodel?

Yes. Design, cabinetry, countertops and installation can all be coordinated through Hausmark, including the associated construction depending on the scope of the project. That's the point of how we're set up.

Can you just replace my cabinets?

Yes. Projects don't have to be a complete gut renovation. Plenty of kitchens need new cabinetry and counters in the same footprint, and that's a perfectly good project. If the existing boxes are sound, refacing with new shop-built doors and fronts is sometimes the more honest recommendation.

Do you provide kitchen design?

Yes. Design is part of the process rather than something you need to arrange separately and then hand to a builder. Layout, elevations, cabinetry planning and material selections are all done here.

Can I use my own appliances?

Yes. Existing or separately purchased appliances can be incorporated, as long as we have the specifications before the cabinetry design is finalized. Appliance dimensions drive cabinet dimensions, so the one thing we can't do is find out late.

How long does a kitchen remodel take?

Two things set the schedule: cabinetry lead time and the complexity of the construction. Shop-built work is scheduled on our own bench, which we control; ordered cabinetry runs on the manufacturer's lead time, which we don't — so we confirm both before we plan the demolition date. Cabinets are ordered well before demolition starts, and we plan the construction period before any work begins — so you know roughly how long your kitchen will be out of service before we open a wall, not after.
